Megvédte Európa Diplomáját Ipolytarnóc, a kitüntető címet most negyedszer hosszabbították meg, így újabb tíz évig birtokolhatja a világhírű ősmaradvány-lelőhely – írja hétfői számában a Népszava.

    Az ipolytarnóci ősmaradványok természetvédelmi terület 1995-ben vált az összeurópai természeti örökség részévé, és kapta meg az Európa Diplomát. 
    A természetvédelmi terület különleges földtani örökség, egy 20 millió évvel ezelőtti vulkáni katasztrófa következtében elpusztult ősvilág gazdag lelőhelye. 
    A természetvédelmi terület Európa Diplomája 2030. szeptember 11-ig érvényes.
